Making a bobble

In the Sundance Beach Bag, Tonia forgoes the traditional bobble and works up one of her own.  This bobble uses yarnovers to increase stitches, sk2p’s to decrease stitches and has a garter ridge to add texture. Here’s how:

(RS) Working all into the same st: knit 1, [yo, knit 1] 3 times (Photo 1) turn.

(WS) Knit all 7 sts, turn. (Photo 2)

(RS) *Slip 1 st, knit 2 sts together, pass the slipped st over the st that results from the 2 sts that were knit together (aka: sk2p); rep from * once more, k1, (Photo 3) turn,

(WS) Purl 3 sts together, (Photo 4) turn. (Photo 5)
