How to work some double decrease stitches

Often in lace patterns, and occasionally when shaping a garment it's necessary to decrease 2 stitches at the same time. The following double decrease stitches are some of the most common ones found in Classic Elite's patterns.

k3tog: This creates a right slanting double decrease.

• Insert the right hand needle into the third stitch on the left hand needle as if to knit, then insert it into the second, then first stitches on the left hand needle as if to knit. (Photo 1)

• Yarn over the needle and pull through all 3 stitches. (Photo 2)
