Treble crochet is a taller version of the double crochet. There is an extra wrap involved. Working a project with this stitch helps it progress quickly and creates a moderately airy fabric.
At the beginning of a row, a treble crochet is mimicked by working 3 chain stitches. (Photo 1)
Begin the treble crochet (tr) by wraping the yarn around the hook 2 times, from the back, over the top of the hook to the front. (Photo 2)
