How to crochet a treble crochet (tr):

Treble crochet is a taller version of the double crochet. There is an extra wrap involved. Working a project with this stitch helps it progress quickly and creates a moderately airy fabric.

At the beginning of a row, a treble crochet is mimicked by working 3 chain stitches. (Photo 1)

Begin the treble crochet (tr) by wraping the yarn around the hook 2 times, from the back, over the top of the hook to the front. (Photo 2)

Insert hook into indicated stitch and draw up a loop—4 loops on hook. (Photo 3)
