Joining Crochet Motifs:

I used slip stitch techniques to join the motifs in the Star Scarf. For other projects, try using different stitches to join motifs, such as a single or double crochet.

Joining into a loop—With the RS of both motifs facing, hold the yarn on top of the joining motif, insert hook into the corresponding loop on the joining motif from the back to the front (see photo). Yarn over and draw the yarn through the loop and the stitch on the hook—1 joining slip stitch.
