How to fasten off:

A securely fastened off stitch helps to keep the yarn from unraveling once the hook is removed.

Work in the established pattern to the end of the row, or for as many stitch repeats as instructed. (Photo 1)

Work 1 chain stitch. (Photo 2)

Break yarn a few inches from the hook (photo 3), then pull the loop on the hook through to make a knot (Photo 4).
