How to avoid a "jog" in circular stripes:

When knitting a stripe pattern in the round, a visible step or “jog” between the stripes shows up at the beginning of a new round where you change colors.  Here are a couple methods to help avoid the jog and keep your stripes nice and even.

Slip Stitch Method:
*Switch to your next color and work 1 round even in pattern.  On the next round , slip the first stitch of the round, continue in pattern to end.  Work the following rounds even until you reach another color change, rep from * to end.

Pick up and Knit Method:
*Switch to your next color and work 1 rnd even in pattern.  Put the right needle into the stitch in the row below the first stitch of the next round, pick it up and put it on the left needle.  Knit this new stitch and the first stitch of the round together, continue in pattern to end.  Work the following rounds even until you reach another color change, rep from * to end.
