The shawlette begins by casting on many stitches for the edging. But once the edging is complete, in only 12 rows, the rest of this wrap is smooth sailing – just garter stitch, decreasing 4 stitches every other row.

85% cotton, 10% silk, 5% stretch polyester
- 5-5½ sts/inch

This dk to light worsted weight combines cotton with a bit of silk to make it a joy to knit. The nine plies create a round yarn with excellent stitch definition and the resulting knit fabric has bounce and spring, and a squishable hand.
