Issue 538 • Sideways Striped Hat
I knit a lot of hats. Most hats are knit in the same way: cast on for the brim and end at the top of the crown. For this hat, I thought I'd try something a little different: work a panel sideways around the middle of the hat, then pick up stitches and knit down in rib for the brim and then pick up stitches and knit up to shape the crown.
Shown in three colors of Liberty Wool, this hat pattern would be a great stash buster in six colors or it could be knit in a solid color.
