Issue 449 • Striped Summer Bag
It's an undisputed truth, at least in my world, that you can never have too many bags. Most days, I leave the house in the morning with a minimum of four bags: knitting, bag, lunch bag, pocket book and a bigger tote bag to carry the other three bags.
Linen is the perfect fiber for a summer bag. This bag is knit in the round with an optional crocheted pocket attached to one side. Lined or unlined, the pattern is easy to adjust to just-the-right-size for your needs. The colors of Fortuna look great together in stripes but a solid color bag would be great too.
