Issue 447 • Knitterly Cowls
Summer is the perfect time to make and wear simple, small knits that we can throw on for an evening dining al fresco or maybe stuff in our bags for when we encounter some icy A/C. This cowl fits the bill!
A favorite pattern here at CEY, designed by Shelli Wescott of Knitterly in Petaluma CA (knitterly.net), this cowl works beautifully in any two yarns of similar weight. Shown here in two summery colorways of Sanibel and Cerro.

Cerro combines Pima cotton with a bit of alpaca for a soft, smooth and silky yarn with excellent stitch definition. The palette consists of clear bright colors perfect for summer. If you prefer neutral shades, MountainTop Canyon is Cerro's undyed counterpart and has the same great fiber combination in undyed, naturally colored fibers.

Sanibel is our fashion yarn: understated, feminine and chic, with a touch of glitz that makes a statement for both daytime and evening wear. The drape is alluring, the hand soft, and the palette sophisticated. Sanibel is perfect for those who want a little excitement in their stash.
