Issue 376 – Tring, designed by Talitha Kuomi

Tring, a completely reversible bag designed by Talitha Kuomi, has two layers – each knit separately in the same shape, then sewn together. Just the right size to carry small knitting projects, this bag has two distinct personalities and is the perfect extension of Tal’s Artistic Differences collection, debuting this month from CEY.

Artistic Differences is the first in CEY’s new Viewpoints series. Each themed collection in the Viewpoints series is a collaboration between a talented Indie designer and CEY. We’re excited to kick off this new series with Tal’s collection and her vision for creating knits to suit your style and personality. Read more about Tal’s inspiration here and see the entire Artistic Differences collection here.

A blog tour featuring each piece in the Artistic Differences collection kicks off today! Every day the featured pattern's PDF download will be discounted when purchased through Ravelry, and one reader/commenter of the blog tour will receive the pattern free!In addition, a grand prize will be given to one commenter, chosen at random, on the CEY blog at the conclusion of the tour- an autographed copy of Artistic Differences and the yarn needed to make the project of your choice.

The Yarn

MountainTop Vista
50% Superfine Alpaca • 50% Wool

Vista is a member of the Mountaintop Collection of yarns spun with natural undyed fibers that you have to see and feel to truly appreciate. Vista, which is interchangeable with 100% wool Crestone, is a lovely blend of superfine alpaca and wool in eight natural shades. The blend produces a durable yarn that is long-wearing while still maintaining a soft hand, perfect for all kinds of garments and accessories.

Artistic Differences

Talitha's musical and performing background inspired her to create Artistic Differences. She imagined one design altered to be knit and styled two ways – a bohemian acoustic style and an edgier rock'n'roll look. Each of the 10 projects are shown twice, giving knitters ideas for customizing their own particular style.

We're excited to announce the Artistic Differences blog tour, kicking off today! In the coming days, visit the following blogs to learn more about each design in Tal's new collection.
