Issue 368 – Bobble Edge Scarf

Tiverton Tweed is a buttery-soft alpaca yarn, made for next-to-skin pieces like scarves and cowls. Today we present a simple scarf design from Tian Foley. Her scarf has big blocks of knit/purl texture and bobbles along the edge.

Talitha Kuomi also designed a versatile next-to-skin piece in Tiverton Tweed for our North River collection. Sydney (below) can be worn as a cowl or a scarf, both in a multitude of ways. Visit the CEY blog to read about Sydney in Talitha's own words and to see her styling variations.

Talitha Kuomi & Julia Farwell-Clay

Our new collection North River is a beautiful book with designs in Tiverton Tweed and other alpaca yarns. In this made-for-fall collection are two designs that we're particularly excited to share, Sydney (top) by Talitha Kuomi and Oxford (bottom) by Julia Farwell-Clay.

We've spent the last few months getting to know these two Massachusetts-based designers. Talitha and Julia both designed a piece in North River and they each are also planning designs for future Web-Letters. However, their main focus has been on developing collections using our outstanding yarns.

While Tal and Julia have been designing in parallel for the past few months, their collections ultimately reflect their own unique aesthetics and are very different. That's all we can say for now, but get excited for two brand new books designed and styled entirely by Talitha and Julia, coming this January.
