Classic Elite Yarns

Issue 334 – Featuring Independent Designers

Have you ever seen a cowl, hat, or even a sweater and thought, I could make that? Today's featured designers said just that and then took it one step further: with just their needles or hooks and our yarns, they brought to life cowls, hats, mittens and sweaters then published their new patterns for the rest of us to enjoy.

We are excited to feature some of these designers today. If you are a long-time Web-Letter subscriber, then you are already familiar with our independent designer issues. (And if you're a new subscriber, welcome to the Web-Letter! You can browse all past issues and free patterns here.)

Although it is never difficult to find a fresh group of designs in our yarns to feature, this time it was spectacularly difficult to narrow down a small selection of designs for today's Independent Designer issue. Click the images to learn more about each pattern.

Independent Designers in Homestead

Blogs and Ravelry aren't the only place to find designs from talented individuals. We regularly feature their work in our publications too. Our newest book, Homestead, debuted earlier this month with a designer list dominated by independent designers.

Independent designs featured in Homestead

(Clockwise from the top left): Cassidy by Deborah Helmke, Lainie by Julie H. Rose, Larkin by Jennifer Raymond, Georgie by Jill Wright and Embry by Rachel Henry. Click the designers' names to view their portfolios on Ravelry – they do beautiful work! For more information about each design, visit our Homestead page .

Purchase Homestead from your LYS or buy the eBook online to have these designs (and more!) in one place, or purchase for the individual PDF patterns on Ravelry.
