Issue 246 – Allegoro Tube Scarf

I love when simple design elements create a different end product. Susan’s Tube Scarf in Allegoro is just that; knitting in the round on a larger than recommended needle size, creating a loose, airy gauge with double thickness from the tube construction. A great summer project that is easy to knit on the beach during the day and perfect to add a pop of color on those breezy summer nights.

The Yarn:

Allegoro
70% organic cotton, 30% linen

Allegoro, part of the Verde Collection, is a blend of organically grown cotton and linen. In keeping with its mostly earth-friendly fiber content, Allegoro is dyed using GOTS certified non-toxic dyes. These dyes yield beautiful soft colors, the kind of colors that are easy to wear and you'll never tire of.

Allegoro is great for transitional garments – little cardigans and tops. If you're inclined to make something outright summery, like a tank top or camisole, Allegoro will keep you cool and comfortable - in the knitting and wearing.

Also in Allegoro...

Five designs in Allegoro from our new pattern booklet for Spring 2012, Abbey, are available as pdf downloads or in printed booklet form.
