Issue 205 – Dancing Hands Shawl in Cotton Bam Boo

Cotton Bam Boo is ideal for shawls, and we've seen quite a few beautiful ones here in the office. From Rachel Henry's Kudzu shawlette, one of our most popular free Web-Letter patterns to date, to some stunners in our upcoming Spring 2012 collection, this yarn whispers, "Accessoriesssss..."

What about Cotton Bam Boo called to Isabelle Boutin? Its hard to say without reading her designer story, but if I were to guess it would be that the colors are extensive, the gauge is versatile and the sheen makes it just a little bit fancy. Need I say more?

The Yarn:

Cotton Bam Boo
52% Cotton • 48% Bamboo

Cotton Bam Boo is a smooth, lustrous sportweight yarn with great stitch definition. The cotton component allows the blend to knit up into a fabric that is soft and breathable. Bamboo viscose adds a soft sheen, and it is naturally antibacterial. The cotton/bamboo viscose blend gives this yarn a wonderful drape – perfect for summer shawls and wraps.
