The Story:
Hats are worn for many different reasons for warmth, as a fashion statement, for covering ill behaved hair. No matter what the reason, this beret is slouchy and easy to wear year round in super soft Classic Silk. An easy knit, this would be a good first project on circular and double pointed needles. The stripes add interest but it would be just as serviceable knit in one color.
The Yarn:

Classic Silk
50% cotton, 30% silk, 20% nylon
Classic Silk is a soft, summer yarn with a nubby texture that is wonderful for next-to-skin garments. This cool and breathable yarn shows off a variety of stitches, from lace to cables, and is available in an extensive palette of colors that look great together and alone.
